Moventas Transmission Equipment (Suzhou) Co., Ltd

Moventas is one of the largest manufacturers of wind turbine gears in the world. The company also manufactures power transmission solutions for industry use and provides services for their overhaul and maintenance. Majority of the products' end use is connected with renewable energy. The company has 1,200 employees in nine countries globally with a worldwide partner network. European private equity investor IK Investment Partners holds the majority of the shares in Moventas.

Moventas continues the history of famous European brands Metso Drives, Santasalo Gears, Valmet Gears and Sauerwald. Its industrial gearboxes under the Santasalo trade mark are used in several thousands of applications in China.

Moventas set up its technical service center 2008 in Suzhou Industrial Park. To supply products to customers in China in most efficient way, Moventas has decided to expand its Suzhou operation into a manufacturing plant in 2011.
